Nifty Thrifty Tuesday No.185

Hello y'all!!! I am finally back home...yippee! All of this traveling has really been tough on this old gal...after a very long nap and a hot bubble bath...I think I'm going to make it. I have been on three trips in the past three weeks, and they were all a ton of fun, but now it's time to get to work and focus on getting my room at the shop ready for the Christmas holidays. Oh yes, it's Christmas time in the retail business. I have been busy making some cute banners and stocking up on some wonderful old vintage ornaments. I plan to have several theme trees this year, I'm a theme tree kinda gal. Today, I will be filling in some empty spots in my room (I was lucky to have sold several pieces of furniture, while I  was out playing this weekend), and also tagging some sale items for our upcoming warehouse harvest sale that starts Wednesday. I didn't have time to pick some features from last weeks party, and I am really sorry about that, but hey, I did make sure to get the party started! So, now let's see what you have been up to.
                                              Blessings,
                                                 Linda

This past weekend, I was shopping the
Country Living Fair and chatting with
                          Sarah/Editor-In-Chief of the CL magazine.

Sarah joined all of us at our Hometalk meet-up on Saturday.
You can read more about our meet-up and the fair on Tuesday.
So, I hope to see ya again!
Recap from last week...
Here are some of my treasures that I came
home with from the Chapel Market...what
an awesome day that was! Click here to see

My Chapel Market Finds...Part One

Well, I had a few items on my wish list for the Chapel Market, and I can say, my wishes came true. First on list, some pretty ironstone from the gal that got me collecting it a few years ago...MISS MUSTARD SEED!!! I was lovin' what I was seeing on her blog, so off I went to some yard sales and thrift stores. Within a few months, I had a nice little collection. Then, fast forward, when Coastal Charm Interiors was born, more ironstone was added to my stash. Okay ladies, now I don't keep all of it, I do add it to my inventory and let my customers enjoy it too. Next on my wish list, a cute little Tonka truck from that charming shop in Rockford, IL...URBAN FARMGIRL, another wish came true. I am always drooling over Mary's shop, so I was super excited for a chance to shop her booth, right here in sweet home Alabama! The other item that I am sharing today, was a bonus item. If you missed my THE CHAPEL MARKET post on Monday...you then can click here to see it. Okay, it's now time to see the pics.
                                                Blessings,
                                                  Linda

Here is my MMS ironstone...aren't they
                                                   PRETTY?

                                   Love this pretty little pitcher.

                                      I don't think I can ever
                                     have too many ironstone
                                              casseroles.

They were so meant to be here...don't ya think?

                                      She even has really pretty
                                                price tags!!!

                                        This is my bonus item!

When I spotted this beauty, I felt the Lord
speaking to me. He was saying, Linda, there
is a long line of ladies outside, that are hoping
when they finally get inside, that their wishes
will come true too. So, since I didn't want to be
greedy, I put back a really pretty ironstone veggie
bowl. So many of us are collecting ironstone, and
I was sure that there were a lot of these collectors,
right outside in that line. Okay, I will get this neat
old camera and add it our old family camera, and
just maybe a new collection will be born today.

He was right there in Mary's cute booth,
just waiting on me to find him!

Isn't he just perfect for my business cards?
I can also see him hauling a cute little
Christmas tree!

The Chapel Market

Just one word sums this show up...WOW!!!! I can't begin telling all of you, how much fun I had at the Chapel Market yesterday. Layla...the lady behind the wonderful blog "THE LETTERED COTTAGE"....out did herself on this one. She put together one awesome event and it was right here in my neck of the woods...lucky...lucky ME!!! I insisted on getting there two hours early, my friend that I went with thought I was crazy. Then, a hour later, she was thanking me. We were the third group of gals that arrived on the front porch. If you don't already know Marsha from the blog, Marsha's Creekside Creations...click here and congratulate her on being first in line. Yes ladies, she got there before the sun came up and I am glad she did, because we got to meet each other and chat for awhile. You know how the saying goes...the early bird gets the worm...well today it was sooooo true. As we were all chatting about why we came, and what we were hoping to purchase from these ladies inside, they started coming out to chat with the early birds!!! I had been e-mailing with a couple of them, so they knew that I would be there, and I am sure that they were not surprise to find this thrifty gal at the first of the line. Okay ladies, let's see who all I got to meet up with and what it looked like inside and outside of the chapel.
                                                 Blessings,
                                                    Linda

First out the door was Rhoda @Southern Hospitality.
I was so very happy to met Rhoda...the two of us have
been blogging for over four years now...so it was time
to finally meet up. Just a heads up...Rhoda's blog was
the first blog that I followed. Thank you Rhoda for inspiring
me. Then, out came MISS PERSONALITY...Kari Anne @
Thistlewood Farms...smiling ear to ear!!! Now, that was not
a surprise to all of us who follow her blog. It was so much
fun chatting with the two of these sweet and talented gals.

Next out the door...any guesses who this is?

                              Yes...it was Marian...MISS MUSTARD SEED!!!
Marian and I started out blogging at the same time,
and I still get a laugh out of one of her early e-mails
to me. It read like this..."let's hit this big blog world
together Linda". Like I told her yesterday, Marian,
you left me back at the starting gate:)

Oh yes...I am still treading water, and I'm okay with that. I am
so happy that Marian has been very successful and has come so
far in just four years. This success, is well deserved by this super
                                       sweet and talented gal.

Be sure to come by later this week to see
what I purchased from my blog friend...
                                       MISS MUSTARD SEED!!!!!

If you liked it, you better not think twice, because
things were flying out the doors!

Mary from Urban Farmgirl...had a wonderful booth full
                                                 of goodies.

The lady with the big idea...Layla!!! I am so glad that
this famous blogger and I live in the same state.

                                           Lot's of shopping!

                                        Lot's of book signing too!!!

I was surprise to see so many men there.

As you can tell, the two of us were happy
to meet up. Best of all, Heather @The Picket
Fence, and I, will see each other again this
Saturday in Atlanta at the Country Living Show.
Heather will be doing a demo at the show on
Saturday morning, sharing some DIY Christmas
trees. Looking forward to this one!

Another sweet blog friend...Susan @Maple and Magnolia.
Thank you Mary from Urban Farmgirl, for bringing Susan
                                              with you.

A BIG THANKS to Susan for helping
me find my size in this super cute tee.
I wore it out to dinner last night:)

                                            Beautiful venue...don't
                                                   you agree?

                                     THE WATERS community is
                                        very charming indeed!!!

I could see myself living here after
                                                  retirement.

It was a fun day Debbie...so glad
that I got you out of the bed EARLY!!!
